Flowerbank is an attractive, detached 18th Century guest house
with an acre of landscaped gardens along the banks of the river
Cree. For more information on the house's rich history (which includes a visit
from Edgar Allan Poe), please follow the link to the history section.
Letting/Guest Rooms:
The house can accommodate 10 people at any given time in the
five letting rooms. Rooms 1, 4 and 5 have views over the garden and river,
whilst rooms 2 (a twin room) and 3 have pleasant views over
neighbouring gardens, towards the Minnigaff hills in the distance.
Room 1, the
only room without an en-suite, has its own private bathroom a few paces from the
room. All rooms have remote control colour televisions, hairdryers,
clock/radio alarms and tea/coffee making facilities.
The South-facing guest lounge has pleasant views over the
garden towards the river. We encourage
our guests to take full advantage of this room at any time of the day, and
during the colder weather the coal/log fire provides a warm and cosy atmosphere.
Immediately
alongside the house we have a lockable outbuilding where
guests are able to leave larger items, such as bikes overnight/during the day when not in use. There
is also ample private car parking space within the walled grounds.
